Louella McCurry, age 83, passed away June 10, 2008. She was born February 26, 1925, in Stone County, the daughter of Leonard Garland and Auda Day (Gilmore) Roy. Louella was a member of Union Ridge Baptist Church. Other memberships include American Legion Post 434, Veterans of Foreign War Post 6758 and the Nixa Women's Club. Louella was active in the Nixa Senior Citizens Center. Louella worked for 15 years as a meat wrapper at Ramey's Supermarket in Springfield. Survivors include her sister, Bonnie Hedgpeth and husband, JB, Springfield; two sisters-in-law, Freda Roy, Clever and Judy Roy, Clever; and numerous nieces and nephews. Louella was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Vernice Roy and Steva Mills; and three brothers, Junior Roy, Bob Roy and Tom Roy. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Burial will follow in Union Ridge Cemetery.
