Albert married Elizabeth Swan in April of 1844.

They had a daughter:
Sarah V. Bacon, b.1847, who became Mrs. Hill. She passed on in Amy (now Auburn), MI in 1917.

The "Lake Superior Journal", 21 Aug 1850, said;

"DIED
In this place on the 16th inst., Mr. Anson Bacon, of Pontiac, Mich.
Mr. B. came up with his family the day before on the London, on his way to Eagle River. He was very seasick during the passage and quite unwell when he landed, and during the night he took a large quantity of Camphor sufficient, it is supposed by his physician, to have produced his sudden death.
His bereaved widow and children returned home on the same boat with his remains."

(it is thought he is mistakenly called "Anson" in this notice, which was actually a nickname for his brother Alanson, who may have been known to the editor or had contact with him.
At any rate, Albert's brother Alanson died 1 month and 10 days later... they are reposed side by side in Oak Hill)

His widow Elizabeth remarried twice more, but upon her death in 1883 she was buried next to 1st husband Albert.
