Mrs Ralph (Leota) Kendrick, 86 of New Market, died early Saturday at Municipal hospital where she had been for two days.

Mrs Kendrick was born Jan 5, 1888, near New Market, the daughter of Franklin and Barbara Hockett Pointer. She was married to Ralph Kendrick Sept 16, 1908.

Funeral services for Mrs Kendrick were held this Monday afternoon at Walker Funeral Home with Loren Daly officiating. Grace Perry was organist. Casket bearers were: Max Marvin Kendrick, Terrill Dee Kendrick, Rolland Keith Kendrick, Edwin G. Bramble, Denny L. Bramble and Timothe Bramble. Burial was in Memory cemetery at New Market.

Besides her husband, Ralph, of the home Mrs Kendrick is survived by three children: Mrs Frank (Phyllis) Jenkins of Des Moines, Mrs Wesley (Marjorie) Fritz of Fonda and Max Kendrick of Clarinda. There are 17 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, one grandchild and a son Waco Kendrick in 1966.
