Atkinson, Ill., July 26 (1940) -- (Argus News Service) – Mrs. Dora Dupree of Atkinson died suddenly this morning in the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. And Mrs. Howard Butterfield of Chicago, with whom she had been visiting since July 2.
Mrs. Dupree was born in Atkinson and had spent most of her life in and near here. Her husband preceded her in death many years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Butterfield of Chicago and Mrs. Minnie Parr of Wendell, Idaho; two sons, Harry of Atkinson and Walter of Geneseo, and four sisters, Mesdames Lottie Steiner and Mabel Fulton, both of Atkinson, Ollie Tomlinson of Geneseo and Anna Cuniff of Rock Falls, Ill.

Atkinson, July 26 (1940) – Mrs. Dora Dupree, 75, widow of a former railroad section foreman and a life resident of this community, died this morning in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nellie Butterfield in Chicago. Funeral services are being planned today and it is expected that they will be held in Atkinson.
Mrs. Dupree was born in Atkinson and was reared in this community. Her husband was killed in an accident on the railroad several years ago. She is survived by four children, Minnie Parr of Wendell, Id., Nellie Butterfield of Chicago, Harry Dupree of Atkinson and Walter Dupree of Geneseo. Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Lottie Steiner and Mrs. Mabel Fulton of Atkinson, Mrs. Olle Tomlinson of Geneseo and Mrs. Anna Cuniss (should be Cuniff) of Rock Falls.
