He was preceded in death by his wife, Cressie S. (Shirey) Devlin, and two sisters, E. Pearl Billings and Jessie Long.
Mr. Devlin was a member of North Liberty Presbyterian Church.
He worked 18 years as a farmer for Joseph Roberts in Sewickley Heights and also worked as a groundskeeper for the University of Pittsburgh for 12 years.
He was a member of Labor Union #29.
Mr. Devlin is survived by his three children: Larry Devlin of Mt. Nebo, M. Carol Condie and husband Charles of Mt. Nebo, and Richard Devlin of Los Gatos, Calif.
He also is survived by four grandchildren: Kelly Brosky of South Carolina, Rob Fiala of New Jersey, and Nathan and Deanna Devlin, both of California, and two great-grandchildren: Jessika Brosky of South Carolina and Jacob William Fiaca of New Jersey.
William Devlin, 89, a resident of Sewickley since 1959 and Grove City from 1980-1994, passed away on April 16, 2005, at Evergreen Nursing Home in Harmony, Pa.
Burial will be in Sewickley Cemetery.
