Mrs. Hattie M. Cornelius, 75, of Saltillo, died in the J.C.Blair Memorial Hospital at 7:30 a.m. Monday, June 7, 1971. She had been hospitalized since June 2.
She was born Mar 30, 1896, at Todd, a daughter of Irven W, and Nellie (Barnett) Ramsey. She was united in marriage to Berlyn E. Cornelius on September 21, 1912 at Cassville. Her husband preceded her in death on September 20, 1961.
Surviving are these children: Irven H. Cornelius, McConnellsburg; Millard E. Cornelius, Todd; and Mrs. Doyle (Edwinna) Oberman, Huntingdon. There are 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Two sons preceded her in death.
The following brothers and sisters also survive: Lawrence Ramsey, Robertsdale; Ralph Ramsey, Saxton; Mrs. Harry Parks, Calvin; Mrs. Myrtle McKnight, Cassville; Mrs. Joe Ward, Cedar, IA; Mrs. William Hess, Cassville, and Miss Gertrude Ramsey, Todd.
The deceased was a charter member of the Calvary Independent Baptist Church of Saltillo.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Calvary Independent Baptist Church. Interment will be made in the Saltillo Cemetery. The Rev. Wilber C. Barber and the Rev. Rex Baker will officiate.
Friends may call at the McClain Funeral Home, Cassville, from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. They may then call at the church from noon on Thursday until the hour of the service.
