Lucy D Daniels of RD 1, Pittston, Pa died Monday evening March 14, 1988 in the Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston, where she had been a patient for one week.
Born in Scranton, Aug 26, 1918, she was the daughter of the late John & Mary (Haladay) Vosburg. She was educated in Harding schools & resided in the Mt Zion area most of her life.
She owned & operated Lucy's Bake Shop in West Pittston for several years. She was a member of the Mt Zion Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, & the King's Crusader Class.
She was the first president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Harding Hose House.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin F Jr, who died in 1977; three brothers & one sister.
Surviving are sons - Benjamin, Thomas, & Donald, all of Harding, daughters - Ellen (Cal) Elder, Bartow, Fla & Lucy (Donald) Vasko, Dayton, Ky; sisters - Mrs Catherine Richards, West Pittston, Miss Myrtle Vosburg, Denton, N C, Mrs Mary Jane Cicon, Moosic, Mrs Dorothy Moyer, Fla, brothers - Theodore Vosburg, Wapwallopen, Elmer Vosburg, San Antonio, Tx, Curtis Vosburg, Frenchtown, N J, Delbert Vosburg, Moosic; 11 grand-children & one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Fri at 1 PM from the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, 509 Wyoming Ave, West Pittston, with Rev Roger Ainslee-Richards, pastor of Mt Zion Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, Harding. Friends may call Thurs. 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM.
