Eva Rosanna "Rose" was the daughter of Jacob Baker and Anna Marie Magdelena "Mary" Brecht. Some records say she also went by the name: "Eve Rose Hannah Baker".

She married the farmer George Carpenter Jr. in 1785 in Bedford Co., Pennsylvania. They both died on their family farm.

Between 1786 and 1810 in Londonderry Township, Bedford Co., PA George and "Rose" had 11 children. In the order of their births they named these children: Mary Polly, Jacob, Andrew, Elizabeth "Betsy", Rachel, Magdalena, George, Eve Rose Hannah, Catherine, Michael and Hannah Carpenter.

One of her descendants, of her son Michael and her grandson Abraham Carpenter (Abraham's granddaughter), was the movie star Jean Harlow.
