Inscription
Erected by John Templeton in memory of his father Thomas Templeton, farmer Drumgarve, who died March 1808 aged 89 years and Agnes Colvill, his mother, who died June 1818, aged 78 years: the above named John Templeton died 19th Jan 1847, aged 85 years. and Ann Colville, his wife died in July 1867, aged 87 years. Also John their son died in November 1879, aged 70 years. Elizabeth Templeton, widow of the late William Templeton, Drumgarve, died 5th Feb 1887, aged 75 years.
