John Lucy was born October 1, 1862 at Belle Plaine, MN, the son of Daniel and Mary Lucy. In 1893, he married Mary Grady, born July 3, 1875, and settled at Henning, MN where the five oldest children were born. In 1906, they purchased a farm in Hay Township which is still the home of their son, Dan.
Mary died May 15, 1913 leaving seven children: Mabel, Robert, John J, Daniel, Winnifred, Aileen and Eva. John continued to farm and make his home in Hay Township until his death March 4, 1945. They are both buried at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Olga, ND.
Mabel was born December 20, 1895. She married Raymond Collins and lived in Montana. She returned to Osnabrock and married William Regner July 14, 1969.
Robert operated a blacksmith shop in Osnabrock for many years. He died in 1962.
John J. was born May 18, 1903. He married Katherine Delvo and farmed north of Osnabrock in Hay Township. They later moved to New Rockford, ND where they operated a cleaning plant. They sold that business and moved to Fargo where John worked with an elevator construction crew. They had two daugthers - Joan (deceased) and Kathleen. John died June 7, 1969 and Kate passed away April 12, 1978. They are buried in Calvary Cemetery, Langdon ND.
Daniel never married and farmed the home farm for many years. He is retired but continues to live on the farm.
Winnifred, born September 23, 1902, graduated from Langdon High School and became a teacher, teaching in Minnesota, western North Dakota and Hay Township. After her retirement in 1950, she made her home with her brother Dan on the farm. In 1984, she moved to the Good Samaritan Center in Osnabrock. She died September 1, 1985. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Osnabrock and is buried in the Union Cemetery.
Aileen was married to J. W. Cline and lived in Great Falls, MT. They had two sons and one daughter.
Eva was married to William Regner and lived in the Osnabrock community until her death November 2, 1968.
