Scott F. Acomb, 55, of Acomb Road in Dansville died unexpectedly Friday May 27, 1994 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Born in Dansville January 11, 1939, he was the son of the late Robert and Bessie Hartman Acomb. He was married in North Darien January 12, 1963 to the former Dorothy Miller who survives.
Scott owned and operated the Acomview Dairy Farm in Dansville. He was a member of the Dansville Presbyterian Church, a member and past master of the Dansville Grange, a member of the Holstein Friesen Association of America, the NYS Holstein Association, the Allegany-Steuben Holstein Club, a life-long member of the F.F.A. and a member of and past director of the NYS D.H.I.A.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Darla (Rick) Cline of Statesville, N.C., Kimberly (Mark) Peltz of Sharon Hill, Pa., Robyn Acomb of Dansville and Kelly Acomb of Dansville; two sons Ray (Julie) of Dansville and Scott of Whitesville; three brothers, Andrew of Arkport, Robert (Marjorie) of Stafford, N.Y. and George of Dansville; four sisters, Margaret Brew of Bergen, Ruth Wilson of LaGrange, Ga., Bessie Merrill of Newville, Pa., and Helen (Earl) Veley of Dalton; 3 grandchildren, Joshua, Chad and Jarred; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Lewis and granddaughter Amy Renee.
Arrangements were by the Chamberlin Funeral Home on 73 Main Street in Dansville. A funeral service was Monday at the Dansville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Timothy Phelps officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery.
