Lewis W. Acomb, 66, of Dorman Rd., Batavia, died Friday (May 2, 1980) in Genesee Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
A native of Dansville, Steuben County, he was a retired farmer. He had lived in the Batavia area since 1952.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lucille Richardson Acomb; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Margaret) Mager; a son, Clarence Acomb; and three grandchildren; four brothers, Andrew H. of Arkport, Robert L. of Stafford, George H. and Scott F. of Dansville; four sisters, Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Brew of Bergen, Mrs. Ruth A. Wilson of Pittsburgh, Pa., Mrs. Bessie A. Merrill of Silver Springs and Mrs. Earl (Helen A.) Veley of Dalton; and his mother, Mrs. Bessie H. Acomb of Dalton.
A funeral service was conducted in Batavia. Burial was in Green Lawn Cemetery, Sandy Hill.
