Betty E. (Ross) Fessenden, 84, of Shelby, went to be with her Lord Jesus Thursday, May 19, 2011. She was born Sept. 19, 1926 in Hart. She married Ivan Fessenden Feb. 26, 1946. He passed away Feb. 21, 2008.
Mrs. Fessenden lived in Walkerville until the age of 12 when she moved to Ferry Township. She attended Ferry Wesleyan Church. God, her husband, and her family were her beloved. She is survived by her children, Stanley and Judy Fessenden, Robert and Ione Fessenden, Larry and Linda Fessenden, Tamra and Richard Sweezey, Lanny and Lis Fessenden, Flora and William Symons, Richard and Tina Fessenden, Dawn Swanson and Kaye (David) Woodbury; brothers, Herman and Clarence John Andreas; sister, Hazel (Mike) Orgish; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan; her fathers, Lee Wright, Clarence Andreas; her mother, Eva Andreas; brothers, Hal Ross, Russell Andreas, Ted Andreas, Sr. and Marshall Lee Wright; sisters, Geraldine Anderson, Esther Jones, Virginia Johnson, Margie Delatowski and grandson, James Lee Fessenden.
The funeral service was Monday, May 23, 3 p.m. at Newman Chapel with Pastor Glenn Hinterman and Pastor Chad Fessenden officiating. Interment was in North Ferry Township Cemetery.
