William H. Cox is son of John Cox (1814-1882) and Mary E. Patrick Cox. His first wife, Elma Ann Denis, is also buried in this cemetery.

William H. Cox Resided in Livingston County About 8 Years Ago.
William H. Cox died on Thursday at Defiance, Ia. Wagner Bros. were notified today that the body would arrive in this city tomorrow over the Santa Fe. The funeral services will be held at Wagner’s undertaking rooms at 10 o’clock Monday morning and the remains will be taken to Phillips’ cemetery for burial.
The decedent formerly resided here. It was about eight years ago that he resided on E. Dixon’s farm located southeast of Streator. From there he went to Knox, Ind., and went to locate in Iowa about one month ago.
He was born in Livingston county and was married in Pontiac. He is survived by his wife and four children. Also one brother, C. J. Cox, residing at Cornell.
