He was born June 11, 1907, in South Salt Lake, the son of Francis Thomas and Ann Eliza Hill Birch. He resided in South Salt Lake area all of his life. He married Cleo G. Stewart, May 23, 1947, in Salt Lake City. He began work as a laborer for various contractors in the area, until May 3, 1952, when he began work in the mailing room of Newspaper Agency Corporation. He retired from N.A.C., August 1, 1971. He was a member of the Millcreek 12th LDS Ward.
He is survived by his wife, Salt Lake, one sister, Myrtle Stringall, Salt Lake City; one nephew, Francis F. Birch, Texas, who was like a son to Mr. Birch.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday 1 p.m. at Larkins Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 S. where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment Elysian Burial Gardens.
