Sheila Kay Plank, 58

MUNCIE - Sheila Kay Plank, 58, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 30, 2004 after an extended illness at Ball Memorial Hospital.

She was born on July 31, 1946 in Muncie to Harold and Iva Jean Plank. She grew up and lived in Delaware County all of her life. She attended DeSoto Schools before moving to Muncie. She graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1963 and attended Ball State University.

She was owner and operator of the Wa-Co Restaurant Inc. and Rooster Tail Lounge. She was actively involved in the State Tavern Owners Association.

Sheila was a member of the Moose and Eagles Lodge for many years, and was also very active in local politics for many years.

She loved all types of sports, and was a member of the DeSoto United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sheila leaves to cherish her memory, a brother Keith Plank (wife Michelle"; neice, Jennifer Ortman (husband Neil); a sister, Rebecca Plank Claycomb (husband Lloyd); two nephews, Jeff Plank, and Jason Claycomb. She also leaves several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie.

Friends may greet the family from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Dialysis Unit at Ball Memorial Hospital
