Rebecca Jane was married twice, the first time was to Randy Whitman (January 20, 1973, Victorville, California) with whom she had one child. Her second marriage was to Lloyd Claycomb.

MUNCIE - Rebecca J. (Plank) Claycomb, age 56, Muncie passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Parkview Nursing Cemter.

She was born September 1, 1951 in Muncie to the late Harold and Iva Jean (Garringer) Plank. She attended DeSoto Elementary School, McKinley Jr. High and Muncie Central High School graduating in 1969. She graduated from the San Antonio School of Nursing as an LPN and Ball State University from their R. N. program.

She was a gifted baton twirler accumulating over 650 trophies and 200 ribbons during her career.

She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Lloyd Claycomb, Muncie; son, Jason Claycomb Whiteman, Muncie; grandson, Ty Whiteman, Ft. Myers, Fl; four step-daughters, Joni (Mike) Herman, Lafayette, Seana Ruchgy (finance, Alan Orr), Pleasant Lake, Shavonne Armstrong, Portland, and Shannon Satterfield, Richmond; one step-son, Mitch Claycomb, Hillsboro, Ohio; brother, Keith Plank (wife Michelle), Las Vegas, NV; mother-in-law, Velma Claycomb, Muncie; a nephew, Jeff Plank, Bullhead City, AS; a neice, Jennifer Ortman, Las Vegas, NV; 11 step-grandchildren, Brandon, Brianna, Dustin, Darci, Rees, Drue, Rydge, Dakota, Tess, Kennedi, and Reagan; and one step-great grandchild, Emma. Also surviving are several cousins, aunts, uncles, and loving friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Sheila Plank; and son-in-law, Greg Ruchgy.

Funeral services will be 5 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2007 at Parson Mortuary with Rev. Murray Satterfield officiating.

Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. prior to the services Monday.
