Mary Posateri, 93, of Moline, passed away Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Trinity Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, with visitation 11 a.m. until the service time. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to The Children's Therapy Center, 1504 13th Ave., Moline.
Mary was born Oct. 30, 1917, in Lewis County, Mo., the daughter of Ernest and Alzadia DeMent Cottrell. She married Joseph Posateri Dec. 14, 1946, in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on Aug. 4, 1987.
Mary was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Lady Elks Club. She loved dancing, motorcycling, boating and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Darline and husband Rudolf DeCauwer, East Moline; grandchildren (and spouses), Linda (Ralph) Schmidt, Moline, Vicki (Terry) Allen, Michigan, Brenda Wood, East Moline, Steve Ream, Taylor Ridge, Andy Ream, Kentucky, Karen La Cast, New Jersey, and Patrick (Patty) Ream, Missouri; 27 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Tom Cottrell.
