Oscar Voland, 69, a former resident of the Town of Mosel, passed away at Rochester, Minn., Saturday morning after a lingering illness. He was born in the Town of Mequon on Aug. 9, 1882, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Voland. On March 28, 1906, he married Miss Alvina Wiegand and the couple located on a farm in the town of Mosel. His wife died on July 21, 1939. On March 6, 1944, he married the former Mrs. Frank Rommel and the couple moved to Rochester, Minn.
Survivors include; two sons, Vernon of Sheboygan Falls and Alden of the Town of Mosel; one daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Dorothy Weiskopf of Kiel; two step-sons, Frank Rommel of Minneapolis, Minn., and Bud of Rochester, Minn.; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Fred of Kiel, William of fond du Lac and Philip of Long Beach, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Philip Arnold of Kiel and Mrs. Carl Raquet of Kiel. One brother, one sister aand an infant daughter preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at St. Peter's Evan. Lutheran Church, Haven. The Rev. William Pankow will officiate and burial will be made in the church cemetery.
