Philippe married George Stone after John's death, and his burial place is the Church of St John the Baptist in Totnes, Devonshire. John Chapin's father was also buried in Totnes, so it may be she was buried with her last husband.
Philippe EASTON Chapin, Stone is the wife of John CHAPIN/CHAPYN son of Roger CHAPYN and wife only known as "widdo chappine". John died in 1600 and was buried at sea, so there would have been no gravesite for him. Roger was buried at the Alms House Cemetery - these people were not wealthy and likely could not afford burial.
4/18/2021-In looking on the Family Search tree and Philippa's record, there is an original document for the death of Phillipa (Easton) Chapin Stone. Her record there is K4GC-R4Q. While it's widely been spread that her death was in 1616 (from the available research from the time period of the publications), this document confirms her death. It is listed under her memories, there's two pages from the book that holds the original record, the first page lists dates and Christenings, the second page lists Marriages and Deaths, and this is where you will see the death date for Phillipa Stone of 25 January 1637 (between using the two pages, one has the date on the left column and the other has her name listed which corresponds with the date on the first page).
Here are the notes on the record from the person who posted it: part 2 of Phillipe's death in 25 January 1637 (see part 1 to verify the month). Notice her last name was that of Stone when she died, as this is who she last married. This is also the same city (Berry Pomeroy) where Samuel Chapin came from when he left for America.
