WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 2, 1944


---Theodore Corliss, Route 1, Ceresco, passed away suddenly this morning at the home of a friend at 12 South Place, Battle Creek, where he had been staying the past month. He was born May 22, 1851, in Ontario, Canada. He was married to Olive M. Arnold on October 28, 1888, in Des. Moines, Iowa, and spent the early party of his life in Fredonia township. He was a member of the Ceresco Baptist Church, and was the last of eight children. Mrs. Corliss preceded him in death, December 15, 1921. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W. A. Shear and Miss Theo Corliss, both of Route 1, Ceresco; two grandsons, Theodore Shear of Grand Rapids, and Edwin Shear of the United States Navy; two great grandchildren.
---Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Court funeral home, Rev. S.J. McCarrell, of Battle Creek, officiating and burial in Oakridge cemetery.
