ROGERSVILLE - Elizabeth (Lizzie) Fields, age 95, Rogersville, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002, at her home surrounded by her family.

She attended McKinney Baptist Church until she was unable to go.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Fields; parents, Isaac and Mary Gibson; son, Grady Fields; four sisters, Della and Hattie Collins, Mattie Price and Doshie Gibson; and two brothers, Lewis and Bill Gibson.

She is survived by four daughters, Mary Lee Helton, Rogersville, Elsie Stapleton, Church Hill, Betty Carmack and husband Fred (Red), Rogersville, and Ethel Jeter, Mt. Carmel; eight sons, Homer Fields and wife Pauline, Kingsport, Willie Fields Jr. and wife Jane, Maylene, AL, Robert Fields and wife June, Kingsport, Keith (Jack) Fields and friend Shirley, Bulls Gap, Earl Fields and wife Jenny, Rogersville, Raymond Fields and wife Judy, Mooresburg, Kenneth Fields and wife Pat, Rogersville, Roger Fields and wife Rita, Rogersville; 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; a sister, Minnie Cradic, Church Hill; several nieces and nephews; a host of friends; and a special doctor, Steven Baumrucker.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, at Colboch-Price Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Basil Jones and Ted Riner officiating. Graveside services were held Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, at Highland Cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
