Amanda Maynard was born October 19, 1892 in Silver Point, Tennessee the daughter of LaFayette and Sarah Maynard.

With her family she went to Ceresco, Nebraska at the age of 16 years.

On January 19, 1913 she was married to Charles L. Bennett at Ceresco, Nebraska. They made their home there for seven years. In search of a climate that might be more favorable to Mrs. Bennett they moved to a ranch between Douglas and Lusk, Wyoming. In 1946 they moved to Douglas where they resided for several years. In 1955 they moved to Casper, Wyoming to make their home.

Survivors were her husband, Charles L. Bennett; two sons, Robert of Hawthorne, California and Lloyd of Douglas; three sisters, Mary Bozar, Modoe, Indiana; Myra Watson, Freemont, Nebraska; and Florence Steele, Wahoe, Nebraska; five brothers, John Maynard, Denver, Colorado; Homer Maynard, Davenport, Nebraska; Solon Maynard, Wahoe, Nebraska; Monroe Maynard, Lee Summit, Missouri; William Maynard, Harrisville, Missouri; and three grandchildren, Donald, Kenneth and Marie.
