He was the son of Charles Albert Singleton & Myrtle Irene Grafton.Born in Havre de Grace, he lived in Cecil County most of his life.He served in the Navy in WWII. In 1958 he founded Zion Masonry Contractor,Inc. From 1963 to the time of his death he owned and bred Thoroughbred race horses,He was a member of the American Legion Mason Dixon Post 194,the Horse Racing Association of Delaware,Maryland,Pennsylvania, New Jersey and West Virginia, and the Pilottown Rod and Gun Club.
He was a Charter member of the Susquehanna Retriever Club, He was also a member of the Harford-Cecil Old Timers Baseball Association. He played baseball throughout Cecil and Harford Counties and in the Susquehanna League. He also coached North East Little League and slow pitch softball in Lewisville,Pa.
Buddy was a talented muscian,he played guitar,banjo, mandolin, accordian and had a beautiful tenor voice.
He was married to Dorothy Jane Moore to 43 years,and had
2 sons Raymond Lewis Singleton and Karl Alan Reichenbach, a daughter Dorothy Lou Schwemmer,eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
