Albert Orlando Armstrong, 54, met his death accidentally and suddenly, Aug. 5, 1937, while working on a power line south of Willis, in the town where he had been a continuous resident for 47 years. He was the first born of seven children of William O. Armstrong and Mary Jane Page. Albert was born in Atchison Co., Kansas on Aug. 9, 1882 and lacked only 4 days of being 55 years of age. On May 16, 1906, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Schriner of Hiawatha. One son, Leroy O., was born to this union. Mr. Armstrong was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church in Willis. He us remembered as a happy, worthy neighbor. Survivors include his wife and son of Willis; his father and two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Bruner and Miss Carrie Armstrong, and one brother, Harry G. Armstrong, all of Lakin, Kansas.
