Sallys' son, Joseph Martin, wrote to her from Harvard that a particular part of Harvards' famous "Yard" reminded him of "Greenwood".
He became Commonwealth Attorney of Pittsylvania County, VA. He married Susan Pannill, whose cousin, "Jeb" Stuart, attended the wedding in his West Point uniform.
Mary, a daughter of Col. and Mrs. Joseph Martin (Sally Hughes) of "Greenwood" married Thomas McCabe.
