Nancy Rose Klessig, 90, of Owatonna, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Alterra Sterling House.

She was born January 13, 1921 in Albert Lea the daughter of Fred and Francia Broscoff. Nancy married Frank Klessig June 23, 1943 at Wilton Lutheran Church. The couple lived on a farm near Owatonna. Together they ran a research chicken farm and processed poultry.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, the VFW Auxiliary and the Eagle's Club. Nancy enjoyed being a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She loved to play bingo and enjoyed some time at the casino.

Nancy is survived by her sons, Gary (and Fran Ness) Klessig of Mellette, SD, Gene (and Nita) Klessig of Waterville; grandsons, Corey Klessig, Nathen Klessig, Justin Klessig; great grandson, Alec Klessig; brother, John (and Gerry) Broscoff of Richfield and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Visitation will be at St. John Lutheran Church on Wednesday, May 18 from 9:30am to 10:30am. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 10:30am at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Dave Klawiter officiating. Interment will be in the St. Peter's Cemetery in New Richland.
