Born in Waseca County on April 17, 1916, Carl was the son of Fred and Francina (Mentekov) Broscoff. He attended country school in rural Waseca. Carl was married to Ruth Wobschall at the Wilton Trinity Lutheran Church on September 3, 1940. Carl and Ruth farmed near Mattawan, and later continued farming in the Meriden area before retiring and moving into Waseca. Carl was a devoted husband who enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, gardening, going to parades, stock car races, professional wrestling, and children. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca, where he and his late wife were members of the 29'ers.
Carl is survived by one sister, Nancy Klessig of Owatonna; one brother, John (Gerry) Broscoff of Richfield; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two infant sisters, and four brothers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 from 4-7 P.M. at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca, and will continue for one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca. Rev. Terry Quick officiated. Burial was at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
