Eva Calder was born Dec 31,1888 in Bridgewater,Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. She is the daughter of William Robert Calder and Abigail Newton Mack, both of Nova Scotia. Eva is the last born of nine children.

She married Frank Ernest Freeman Sr.of Paradise,Annapolis, Nova Scotia, on Oct 13,1900. They removed from Nova Scotia to Philadelphia,Pennsylvania in 1902.
Together they had three children, William Calder, Frank Ernest Jr. and Murial Antoinette.

Her husband and middle son preceeded her in death.

Frank Freeman Sr - his name appears on the headstone with his wife and second child. But, he is buried in the Los Angeles National Cemetery in California.
