Andy Neal, 84, of Island, died at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, at the Kentucky Convalescent Home in Owensboro, after a long illness.

He was born January 14, 1881, in Ohio County, but had lived in Island for the past 10 years. He was a member of Island Methodist Church.

Survivors include two granddaughters, Mrs. W.C. Kirtley and Miss Joyce Neal, both of Owensboro; two sisters, Mrs. John Neal, of Bremen and Mrs. Effie Jewel of South Carrollton; two brothers, Edgar Neal of Livermore and Willie Neal of South Carrollton.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, July 6 at Muster Funeral Home Chapel, Livermore by the Rev. George Phillips, pastor of the Island Methodist Church. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery at Livermore with nephews serving as pallbearers.
