RETIRED FARMER TO TURN 100

Finfun Albertus Fowler of Little Sandusky will observe his 100th birthday Thursday.
Fowler, born Aug 25, 1877, to Mr. and Mrs. Hiram (Alice Hornby)Fowler, has lived all his life on the family farm. He survives his brother, Ralph.
The former Grace A Wood and Mr. Fowler were married Oct. 22, 1901. Mrs. Fowler died in 1957. Their two children are Mrs. Leefe Alice Edie of Toledo and C.Rush Fowler, who lives with his father.
Mr. Fowler practiced farming all his life and still raises hogs. He finished Little Sandusky Grade School and was certified as a teacher. He also was a trustee of Pitt Township and a member of the Little Sandusky Board of Education.
Fowler suffers from poor hearing and sight but otherwise enjoys good health. He will spend his birthday with his son and friends.

Finfun A Fowler, 102, of RR 1 Harpster, died at 5:38 p.m. Thursday in Community Nursing Home, Marion, following an illness of two years.

He was born August 25, 1877, in Wyandot County, and Oct. 22, 1901, was married to the former Grace A Wood, who died Jan. 2, 1957.

Before his retirement, he was a farmer and hog breeder and was a past president of the Chester White Association.

Surviving are a son, C. Rush Fowler of RR 1, Harpster, and a daughter Leefy Alice Edy of Toledo.

Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.. Sunday in Lucas Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky, by the Rev. Philip Conley. Burial will be in Little Sandusky Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday.
