She had only a 7th grade education. When she was of school age during the time that school was out she was either tending sheep or working on the crops. If she was working in the rice, she was always told to have them pay her in rice to take home to the family.
Came to the United States in 1926 from Perris, Argentina.
She and her husband had two children: Dominica Mary "Nita" Acotto, born 11 March 1928 in Weed, Siskiyou County, California and Joseph John Acotto born 19 August 1929 also in Weed.
She was very loyal to the United States and insisted that her children learn to read and write both in English and Italian.
She died in May of 1992 in Weed.
