Joseph John Acotto was born Aug. 19, 1929 to Dominico Giovanni & Maria Baudino Acotto in Weed, Siskiyou, California. He had one sister Domenica Maria (Nita) Acotto. After graduation from high school he joined the military and worked in denistry. He married Betty Bean in 1950 in Medford, Jackson, Oregon. Together they had a daughter named Shawna Acotta. He also had a stepson named Robert Davis Cox. They built a home in Yreka California and later on he became Mayer. After retiring they moved to Medford Oregon. The last 2 years they moved to Vancouver Washington where he died April 4, 2019. He is survived by his wife Betty of 69 years and his daughter Shawna. Joe Legally adopted Robert.
