"Mrs. Rena Evelyn Ireland Smith, 36, died at her home, Campbell's Drive [now Raby Rd.], Route 1, Norfolk County, yesterday at 8:15 a.m., after an illness of several months. She was born in New Bern, NC, March 10, 1915, daughter of the late William F. and Chloe Armeta Ireland. She is survived by her husband, Floyd E. Smith and three daughters, Miss Evelyn Smith, of Lynchburg; Carolyn Jane Smith and Joyce Ann Smith, of Norfolk; one sister, Mrs. R. N. Hall, of Norfolk; two brothers, Ernest Ireland and Norman Ireland, of Norfolk. She was a member of the Park Avenue Baptist Church and the Ruth Waldon Missionary Circle. Funeral services will be conducted in the James V. Derry Funeral Chapel tomorrow at 3 p.m. by the Rev. W. A. Hales, pastor of Free Will Baptist Church, Fairmount Park. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery."
