Nina Ferguson, 92, of Robinson, passed away Monday, May 9, 2011. Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, May 14, at St. Mark Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Price officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.

Nina was born in Chilton, Texas, to the late Prince and Bessie Blackburn. She grew up and lived most of her life in the Waco area, where she enjoyed cooking, genealogy and nutrition. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, James Connally Air Force Base and 12th Air Force Headquarters. In 1970 she was involved in opening Waco's first vitamin nutritional shop.

She was a 1938 Waco High School graduate and married Harold G. Ferguson on August 2, 1941. She had a strong Christian faith and was deeply devoted to her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold G. Ferguson; brothers, Lloyd, Clyde, Tiny, Boyd, Claude, Eddie, John, and Luther Blackburn; and sister, Edna Farney.

She is survived by sons, Craig Ferguson and wife, Willene, of Waco, and Keith Ferguson and wife, Betty, of McGregor; grandchildren, Brian Ferguson and wife, Jennifer, Lisa Herr and husband, Karl, Allen Ferguson, and Lauren Ferguson; sisters, Donna McCahon, Jewel Copeland and husband, Newman, and Mary Soules and husband, Fred; and many nieces and nephews whom she deeply loved.
