Funeral rites were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at the Pleasant Bethel Church for Mrs. Jennie Byerly Everhart, 70, of Jefferson township, who died last Tuesday night at the Greenview Manor Convalescent Home, Indianapolis. She has been seriously ill the past three months. She was the wife of the late Fred O. Everhart, former Owen County Commissioner.

Mrs. Everhart was born near Patricksburg, March 24, 1897, and was a member of the Pleasant Bethel Church, near Worthington.

She and Mr. Everhart were married October 22, 1916, he preceded her in death, December 27, 1965.

Survivors include three sons, Robert of Worthington RR 1, and Arthur and Oral both of Indianapolis; two brothers, Roy Byerly of Iowa and Henry Byerly of Patricksburg. She also leaves four sisters, Mrs. Orville Burger and Mrs. Homer Frank, both of Coal City and Mrs. Perry Huber and Mrs. Roy Huber, both of Bowling Green; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Rev. Tom Osbon was the officiating minister Saturday. Interment was made in the Pleasant Bethel Cemetery.
