Funeral services for Annie Highley Killian, 83, of 822 Center St., were conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion, the Rev. George Mackey officiating. Burial was in the Mountain View section of Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Starkovich, Leslie Hearn, Jack Gosar, Victor Kershisnik, Walt Bakka and Albert Toth.
Mrs. Killian died Saturday, Nov. 16, at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County, where she had been a patient since Oct. 22. She had been in ill health the past year.
Born Nov. 5, 1891 at Halifax, Yorkshire, England, she was the daughter of the late John and Hannah Brazey Highley.
She came to the United States with her parents when she was three months old and had resided here since that time.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan, who died in 1957.
Mrs. Killian had attended Rock Springs schools and was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion, the Canadian Legion Auxiliary, the Royal Neighbors, the Rebekahs and was a Gold Star mother.
Survivors include one son, Dale of Casper; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Snyder of Sheridan and Mrs. Mae Walker and Mrs. Frank (Mona) Chevalier, both of Rock Springs; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Dan W. (Mary) Killian of Rock Springs; one brother, Thomas Highley of Rock Springs; six grandchildren, Danny Mark, who is attending the University of Wyoming, Jeannie and Marianne, both of Rock Springs, and Sandy, Debbie and Becky, all of Casper; two great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Angelina Highley of Rock Springs; and several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. D.F. (Hazel) Williams of Rock Springs.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, Jack, who died in 1937; Vernon, who died in action during World War II; and Dan W. who died in 1971.
