Lloyde Irvin Ross, 93, of Danville, passed away at 4:40 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2011, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 13, 1918 in Sidney, Illinois to John Henry and Ella Thelma Ross. They preceded him in death. He married Madge Kizer in 1939. Twin daughters were born in 1940 and died at birth.
He had two sisters, Thelma and Norma, and three brothers, Lowell, Wayne and Michael. A son, Dale, was born in 1948, and he married Mari Dearth in 1968. He had two granddaughters, Erin (Craig) Cunningham and Brooke (Andy) Smith.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He served in Germany, London and France.
