Services for Heimo Ahola, 75, 2511 W. Church St., are pending with West Funeral Home. He died at his home Aug. 20, 1987.
He was born July 6, 1912 in Rock, Mich., and graduated from high school in Amasa, Mich. Following graduation he moved to Lake Forest, Ill., and married the late Sara Rentola in 1940. They moved to Carlsbad in 1941. He went to work in 1941 for the Potash Company of America as a station tender and retired in 1972. He married Sylvia Liverett in Carlsbad on July 8, 1979.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia, Carlsbad; one brother, Sulo W. Ahola, Amasa, Mich.; one sister, Allyce Ahola, Carlsbad; five nephews and three nieces.

Services for Heimo Ahola, 75, 2511 W. Church St., who died at his home Thursday, are to be Monday at 10 a.m. in the West Funeral Home Chapel.
The Rev. Bob Bacon of the First Baptist Church is to officiate, and burial is to follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are to be David Rice Sulo Wickstrom, Paavi Karttunen, Harold J. Kernan, Ralph Perry and Ray Sillampa.
