Alma Beth DuPree, of Dade City, Fla., passed away July 1, 2009. She was born September 16, 1922, in Alachua, Fla., and lived in Dade City since a young girl. She is predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Paul Edward Pike Sr.; her parents, Gee Dempsey and Jettie Walker DuPree; grandparents, Bryant and Amanda Hollingsworth DuPree and Edward and Clara Touchton Walker; siblings, Lucien (Edith), Otis (Nadine), Manis (Florene), Hazel (Ralph Howard), Opal (Whalen Gavin) and Holten (Billie). She leaves behind three children, Paul (Vera), Diane (Al Heiler) and Gail (Fred Godfrey); 25 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and homemaker until her children were grown at which time she started her own successful landscape business. From there, she obtained her real estate license and became a top producer. She has resided at The Edwinola for the past few years and leaves many dear friends. Her last words were that she was at peace with her Lord and ready to make her journey into her new world. She died at peace and with such grace. A memorial Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at Saint Anthony' s Catholic Church and a gathering afterwards for a light lunch in her daughter' s home in Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club.
