Mrs. Ruth Mechler Dies Monday (March 31, 1958)

Mrs. Ruth McCammon Mechler, 512 South Center Street, died Monday at the Mobile Infirmary, Mobile, Ala after an extended illness. She was 62. A daughter of John Henry and Florence Yenter McCammon she was born in Oxford, Iowa, December 7, 1896. She was the wife of Eugene Mechler. Mrs. Mechler was a graduate of Oxford, Iowa High School and moved to Grove City where she had resided for the last 38 years from Minnesota. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Grove City and the King's Daughters Sabbath School Class of that church. Surviving are her husband, two sons, David Lee Mechler, Mobile, Ala.; and Gene H. Mechler, Grove City; three daughters, Mrs. A. D. (Dorothy Mae) Sandrock, Sewickley; Mrs. R. C. (Ruth Anna) Kirkpatrick, Birmingham, Ala.; and Mrs. C. W. (Grace) Lindfors, Niles, O., a brother, Roy McCammon, St. Marie, Minn.; and two sisters, Mrs. E. R. Bonordon, Winterset, Iowa; and Mrs. J. L. Law, Aberdeen, Wash. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Shelley Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday conducted by Dr. E. R. Ray. Friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon and evening. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
