Actor, Comedian. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, he began his career as an announcer on Boston radio. In 1946, he teamed up with Bob Elliott as a comedic duo the "Bob and Ray Show" which was broadcasted on NBC Radio for decades. The duo also performed on radio dram shows such as "One Fella's Family" and "Mary Backstage, Noble Wife." For television, he appeared as a host with Bob Elliott on "The Name's the Same" and as the role of Bernie Cross on "Happy Days". His film credits include "Thrill of a Romance" (1945), "Test Dive Buddies" (1959), "Kid Gloves" (1960) and "Cold Turkey" (1971). He died at age 68 in Manhasset, New York and was posthumously inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 1995.
