Mrs. Lydia A Ball, 66, wife of James H Ball, Cashtown, died at her home in Cashtown Monday afternoon at 1:25. She had been ill since September 24 when she was stricken with a heart attack and with the exception of two weeks, had been bedfast since that time.
The deceased was born in Franklin Township, near Mummasburg, a daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Warren) Cluck. She resided in Cashtown for the last 16 years and previous to that had lived on several farms in Franklin Township with her husband. Mr. And Mrs. Ball were married 46 years ago.
Mrs. Ball was a member of Trinity Evangelical Reformed Church, Cashtown, having transferred her membership from St. John’s Evangelical Reformed, McKnightstown. She was active in church and Sunday school work and was a member of the Ladies’ Aid society.
In addition to her husband she is survived by the following children; Mrs., Lawrence Stover, Orrtanna RD; Mrs. Ralph Brenizer, Gettysburg RD; Mrs. William Dentler, Gettysburg; Ralph, Sharonsville, Ohio; Clyde, Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, Mervin Cluck, Gettysburg RD; one half-sister, Mrs. Ella Slonaker, Orrtanna, and 11 grandchildren.
Brief funeral services fro the late home Thursday afternoon at 1:30 with further services in St. John’s Evangelical Reformed church, McKnightstown, at 2:00 with the deceased’s pastor, the
Rev. G Howard Koons, officiating, assisted by a former pastor, the Rev. R. W. Limber, of Dover. Interment in McKnightstown cemetery.
