Bill was a son of Willliam P. Bondurant and Myrtle Maud Meriwether. He was born and raised in Knox County, Missouri, before moving to Lewis County, where he farmed until his retirement.

On 18 Jan 1931 he married Beverly V. Fountain; they were the parents of one daughter.

John William "Bill" Bondurant, 90, LaBelle died Saturday, June 1, 2002, at Country Aire Retirement Estates, Lewistown. Born October 30, 1911, in Knox County, the son of William Pearl and Myrtle Merriweather Bondurant. He married Beverly Vernice Fountain on January 18, 1931, in LaBelle. Mr. Bondurant received his education in rural Knox County Schools, lived all his life in the Knox County and LaBelle area, where he was engaged in farming until his retirement. He raised Hampshire hogs and Carolais cattle. He was a member of the M.F.A. board, the LaBelle Saddle Club and the LaBelle Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Elaine Howe, Canton; four grandsons, Richard Ray Howe, Naperville, Illinois; Scott William Howe, Irvine, California; Dale Alan Howe, Austin, Texas; and John Tracy Howe, New York City, New York. Five great-grandchildren: Zachary, Mario, Jordan, Sarah and Jessica Howe and one sister, Mildred Bradley of LaBelle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Gladys Euliss, a son-in-law, Richard Howe and one nephew, Ray Edris.

Visitation was held one hour prior to the service in the Coder Funeral Chapel. Services were Wednesday, June 5, 2002, in the Coder Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Wilson officiating.
