She attended several local schools, as the family moved several times in the southern Vernon and northern Barton county area, when she was young. In the mid 1930's Polly attended the Teachers College at Springfield,MO.
While in Springfield, Polly met William 'Bill' Gamble. They married on 5/21/1937. For some time Polly & Bill stayed in MO and farmed. Later on Bill started to work on road construction and they lived in a trailer house and followed the work through several mid-western states.
Billie Joan Gamble, their adopted daughter, was born on 5/21/1937 in Lamar, Barton county, MO and became part of their family.
In the 1950's the family moved to New Mexico where they found a more permanent life working on the Navajo reservation near Gallup. After they retired they moved to Albuquerque.
Bill passed away on 10/25/1978 in Albuquerque, NM.
Polly married Frank J. Daigle in 1980 and they lived in Albuquerque till his death on 12/16/1986.
On 9/10/2002, Polly & Bill's daughter Joan Gamble Irish passed away, leaving a husband Clay and a son Darrell.
Polly passed away in Albuquerque, NM on 3/9/2004 and was buried in Sandia Memory Gardens.

Harry Leatherman and wife have a new baby daughter at their home near the Bailey bridge. They are calling the little Miss Pauline Leatherman.
