Glenn William “Bill” Riggeal, 56, who lived in Cashtown near Rocktop, died suddenly this morning about 8:10, while picking quinces in the orchard of his brother, James, near Cashtown, Dr. C G Crist, Adams County coroner, investigated and said Riggeal died of a coronary thrombosis.
Mr. Riggeal was born in Franklin Township, and was a son of Mrs. Gertrude (Lauver) Riggeal of Cashtown, and the late William H Riggeal. The deceased was a farmer and construction worker. He had been a machine operator for construction companies and for the Sate Highways Department.
He was a member of the Cashtown United Church of Christ and the Loyal Order of Moose of Gettysburg.
Surviving besides his mother are his widow, the former Margaret Starner; two children,
Glenn William, Jr., now serving with and airborne division at Fort Dix, N.J., and Mrs. Kenneth Knox, State College, Pa. There is one grandchild and these brothers and sisters; Mrs. Clyde Andrew, Cashtown; Mrs. Wilmer Diehl, Cashtown; Mrs. Paul Kimple, Biglerville R1; Mrs. Own Bucher, Cashtown;
James Riggeal, Orrtanna R1, and Miss Inez Riggeal, Cashtown.
Funeral services Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Bender Funeral Home with his pastor, the
Rev. Robert Myers, officiating. Interment in Flohr’s Church Cemetery.
