Lettye Eason Howell went to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 8, 2007 from Austin,TX. She was born on November 16, 1932, in Truby, Texas to Henry and Beulah Eason. Lettye married Tommie F. Howell on December 18, 1954. A lifetime member of the Church of Christ Lettye served as church secretary at the Highland Village congregation for over 25 years. She also served as Band Parents President at McCallum High School for four years and as a Girl Scout leader, while her children were growing up. Lettye was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother (nana). Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, as she was in theirs. She enjoyed cooking for her family, (especially during the holidays), as well as for church lunches. Lettye is survived by her husband of 52 years, Tommie Howell; son Brian and his wife Stephanie; daughters Nina E. Kroeker and her husband Rob Savidge, and Susan Templeton and her husband Bryce; grandchildren, Courtney Kroeker, Timothy Kroeker, and Remington Templeton, and by her brother William H. Eason, Jr. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at Highland Village Church of Christ, 4716 Bull Creek Road. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Lettye's name to Highland Village Church of Christ
