William Henry Eason, Jr., 94, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in Big Spring, TX. A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00p.m., on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 in Mt. Hope Cemetery, three miles east of Anson, TX under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St., Abilene.
William was born in Merkel, TX on December 10, 1921 to the late William Henry Eason, Sr. and Buelah Mae Jones. He graduated from Anson High School and continued his education at Abilene Christian College. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Veteran of World War II. William worked for ACU for 36 years in the general maintenance department. He was also a Church of Christ minister for 56 years.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Marguriete in 1998; and four sisters. Survivors include two sons, John Eason and wife, Chris of Abilene and Lesley Eason and wife, Jane Anne of Justin, TX; three grandchildren, J'Nan McManaman, Dee Anne Arnold, and Lesley Eason, Jr.; and seven great-grandchildren.
