Rites Set
In Chapel
Bedford F. Estes, Sr., 805 East Nash Avenue, Terrell, died in a local hospital early Tuesday morning. Funeral services will be held from the Anderson-Clayton Chapel in Terrell at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Olen D. Brockway officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Memorial Park.
Bedford Forrest Estes was born in Kaufman County on Oct. 13, 1906. He lived the greater part of his life in and near Elmo and Terrell. He was employed at the Terrell State Hospital for a number of years.
He was married to Miss Geneva Dodd on July 14, 1934. Surviving him are: his wife; four sons, Bedford E. Estes, Jr. of Canton, Robert Estes of Mesquite, Terry Estes of Dallas, and Jerry Estes of the U.S. Army stationed in Germany; one daughter, Mrs. Ray Phillips of Terrell; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Miss Julia Estes of Terrell; and one brother, Dewey Estes of Mexia.
