Funeral services for Eva Ann Waggoner,89,Lawrence, will be at 10a.m. Thursday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Waggoner died Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Medicalodges in Eudora. She was born April 4, 1922, in Eudora, the daughter of Walter P. and Ella M. Miller Brecheisen.Mrs. Waggoner worked for the Alumni Association at Kansas University, Weavers Department Store and for Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant. After her retirement in 1991, she sold Avon. Mrs. Waggoner was a member of Lawrence Heights Christian Church and played organ. She was also a member of Business and Professional Women. She married James S. Waggoner on October 3, 1942, in Reno. He preceded her in death October 8, 2001. She was also preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers. Survivors include two sons, Jim Waggoner and wife Dianne, and Rod Waggoner and wife Debi, and two grandsons, Jeffrey Waggoner and Ryan Waggoner.
